You may be wondering where have I been this month since I disappeared for over 20 days. In the first 2 weeks I have been busy making big changes in my life, but then, I toked a 10 days photo tour in the center and south part of my country, Romania. I was lucky to have every single day with fog in the morning and warm sun after that, no rain at all.
The perfect weather and the perfect season for great photography.
The result were 10 GB of pictures which I am preparing to show you. The main theme – the dominating subject – was “ruins, castles and fortresses”. Second, there were museums and churches.
Also, there are some new tutorials on the way, so keep in touch!
Here’s a map of the route (blue) I’ve been on, and a list of the places I photographed.

Since the amount of great pictures is high, I opened a photo gallery and a group on flickr. Old photos and new ones can be watched here. Weekly PhotoCritique will continue with the help of photoaxe group: post your picture in the club and all members will comment. After a week or so, photos will be selected and a resume will be posted on www.photoaxe.com.

Let me inform you about an eight-day photography, printing and imaging workshop cruise embarking from Ft. Lauderdale, FL to St. Maarten, St. Lucia and St. Kitts, in the Southern Caribbean, March 29 -April 6, 2009. Don’t Miss The Boat!

The workshop is limited to 20 attendees who will participate in lectures, hands-on demonstrations and critiquing sessions by photo professionals. Attendance requires that you use a DSLR at the workshop unless a special exception is granted. Each attendant will receive up to $1,000 in hardware and software.
Arthur H. Bleich and Steven Katzman, (award-winning professional photographers and published authors), will reveal the artistic and technical skills required to recognize and shoot unique and imaginative images. Also, Ron Wolfe and Dan Loffler will demonstrate professional techniques and do personal mentoring.
Workshop participants will learn the following:
- how to exhibit and market their work, print, mat and frame color and B&W images,
- how to create a web photo gallery and publish their own photo books.
Also offered will be one-on-one Photoshop and Photoshop Elements sessions at individual skill levels.
Attendees who do not yet own DSLRs may borrow a state-of-the-art Pentax DSLR for use prior to and during the workshop.
A bank of Epson printers will be available round-the-clock in the ship’s high-tech conference room, from which full Internet service is available.
You will start achieving results by the second day and by the end of the week will have developed a methodology that will enable you to capture images that are uniquely yours.
Long after the workshop is over, you will use what you learned to continue seeing in new and creative ways. All-inclusive costs begin at $2,332, with non-attendee companions paying less than half. More informations at: http://www.dpcorner.com/cruise (tel1-800-652-2267)
