In September this year, a lot of digital camera manufacturers released new cameras, with higher resolution, memory storage and battery life, plus better CMOS sensors. As a result, the software manufacturers had to upgrade the photo editing programs in order to add support for the new generation of cameras and the Windows Vista platform.
The latest versions of Lightroom and Camera Raw from Adobe now support the following cameras:
-Canon EOS 40D
-Fuji FinePix IS-1
-Leaf Aptus 17, Aptus 54s, Aptus 75s
-Olympus EVOLT E-510
-Panasonic DMC-FZ18
-Pentax K100D Super
-Phase One P 20+, P 21+, P 25+, P 30+, P 45+
-Sony Alpha 700
Lightroom 1.2 corrects several bugs relating to XMP auto-write, Vista displays, and noise reduction from Bayer pattern sensors.Camera Raw 4.2 does not yet support sRAW files from the Canon EOS 1D Mark III, according to a blog post by Adobe Photoshop Senior Product Manager John Nack, but I’m sure this will soon be fixed.
