So much for the good news… from time to time bad ones come too: on Feb. 1, all images on Sony ImageStation will be deleted. Reason: Sony deceided its online photo sharing site ImageStation will shut down. Sony also thought about the amount of people who are using this service and gives them the possibility to transfer their images from the Sony ImageStation to Shutterfly. If you are one of them, you can also order all full resolution files on CD or DVD for $7.49 per disc until Jan. 14, 2008. As a bonus for all the inconveniences, the customers receive a free 20-page photo book and 15 free 4×6 prints.
Before Sony, Yahoo! Photos closed also. It appears that Flickr concurred so well, that will soon be not just the most used photo sharing site ever, but the only one alive.
