Panasonic LC1 Digital Camera Malfunctions

After the notice about Nikon malfunctions last week, now comes the time for the Japanese company Panasonic to anounce CCD performance defects with the Lumix DMC-LC1. In the press release, Panasonic tells us that is offering repair service for domestic Japanese LC1 models, but has not released details about service for other areas. Panasonic reported that pictures do not appear when photographing with select LC1 cameras, a phenomenon that the company attributes to the CCD image sensor. The Panasonic LC1, introduced in 2004, has a 2/3-inch CCD sensor. This camera first impressed me with the Extra Optical Zoom function that provides additional magnification up to 18x when taking photos with 3-megapixel resolution.
