Coolpix S8 has longer battery life than Coolpix S7 and it is a bit lighter. The LCD is 5 inch smaller. Another difference, less important, is the fact that the S8 comes with the COOL-STATION MV-14 and the S7c and S7 come with the COOL-STATION MV-15; S8 comes bundled with the Dock Insert PV-10 and the S7c and S7 with Dock Insert PV-11.
